Clay & Daniel. Just awesome. It's great seeing these younger folks excelling in the trades. They are highly skilled and knowledgeable and provide an outstanding level of customer service. Friendly and courteous and ready to explain every step they're taking. Even with the rain, they found my plumbing break and made the necessary repair. A lot of hard work cutting the concrete pad and digging to the line. After hours call out, but still a great price for the amount of work involved. I can't speak highly enough of both of them. Thank y'all so very much.

More than satisfied and impressed with Area Plumbing. Had a water heater that gave out, which I had purchased from Area Plumbing a couple years ago. It was still under warranty and they came and replaced it right away after hours for a brand new one. I was more impressed by their prompt response. Our service tech was very friendly and super professional.

Professional, courteous, efficient and knowledgeable in all aspects as Mr. Marsh and his co-worker tackled a major weekend after-hours drainage problem in my home. Rapid response and I was kept updated on arrival time. As the work progressed, Mr. Marsh kept me informed on the situation. They identified the blockage being outside the perimeter of my home and handled all the necessary contacts and smoothly coordinated the transitional work crew efforts with another company. I always felt I was in good hands as he patiently answered all my questions and alleviated all of my concerns. I highly recommend Area Plumbing and these two plumbing professionals and the honest and professional atitudes they demonstrated.

Clayton did a great job on replacing the Delta valve module on my shower and I give them a rating of 5 for his workmanship. All the work was done in less than an hour. The total for the job was $564 dollars.
The way they cost out a job is that they charge you $89 for the rolling the truck and performing any diagnostics when they arrive. Once they determine a course of action then they provide a flat rate to perform the work. The approximate breakdown of the job that took around an hour was:
Arrival and diagnostic: $89
Parts: $60 (as stated by Clayton)
Job Cost: $415
Total: $564
In my opinion these costs excessive. For the last 10-15 years+ plummers have used flat rates to complete jobs rather than separately charging for parts and labor. They charge you to arrive and do a diagnostic (I told them straight away that the shower valve was leaking - no diagnostics) and then once they're in your house they quote you a price for the job. In this instance the hourly rates works out to about $400 per hour which in my opinion is excessive. I understand that they have overheads; nevertheless, I give them a rating of 1 for the cost.
It would be a much better for the customer that small jobs would be done by the hour. Quote by the job would be better for larger jobs.
Again, I want to reinterate that the workmanship was excellent, but I'll be shopping around next time for any small jobs I have.
