This AAMCO of Yuma has the kindest folks there. I was passing through on a trip and damaged my skid plate from hitting a tire in the road, it was hanging and scraping the road. Had no where else to go at the time. I called this AAMCO and as busy as they were they welcomed me to stop in. They paused their busy workflow to pull my car in and remove the damaged skid plate. I was able to get back home safely and quickly. They were so nice and genuine. I appreciate their help greatly. Excellent customer service! A++

Had a terrible experience for my second time here. They disrespect the inside of your car with muddy boots and motor oil hand prints. They left my skid plate completely hanging off. I won’t be going back unfortunately.
4years ago when I had my transmission replaced here the car broke down on me twice thereafter due to improper transmission placement. Work was finished at ford.
Front desk is nice. No issues there.

I will not recommend AMMCO. I had a starter installed there for $446.79, and just six months later it failed—the front gear section came loose and was rattling around.
Before I figured that out, I went to Pep Boys because of a rattling noise under my truck. They told me it might be the catalytic converter or transmission. I ended up spending a lot of money replacing the catalytic converter, only to find out that wasn’t the problem. This was actually the second time Pep Boys had me replace parts unnecessarily, so I will never recommend Pep Boys either.
Frustrated, I was told by a friend to try Tavo’s Mechanic on 1st Ave. Within 30 minutes, Tavo called me to say it was not the transmission but the starter. He even removed it and showed me the broken gear. That’s when I dug up my old receipt from AAMCO and went back there.
When I explained my frustration and the noise issue, the office lady told me I had “voided the warranty.” I explained everything again, and she flat-out said, “How do I know that’s the starter we put in?” At that point, I saw red. Basically, she was calling me a liar. All she had to do was check the serial numbers to confirm it was their part, and then offer a fair solution—but she didn’t.
From now on, I only go to shops with strong reputations for honesty and solid reviews. Being “nice” while taking your money doesn’t mean much if the work and the follow-up aren’t there.

Kept having issues with my little old nissan. First mechanic couldn't figure out what's wrong. Decided to try aamco since drove by it often and seemed better equipped. Immediately they figured out what it was. Price was reasonable, $140 for diagnostic but if you get work done there they cut it in half. The part and labor came with 1 year warranty. It took a few days because part had to be ordered but they worked quick and efficient. Jennifer and other staff were super helpful and friendly, both employees i dealt with were women. Not gonna lie, as a woman it was nice to be dealing with women in that environment. Pretty sure this is my mechanic shop from now on.
